The company focusses on executive search (utilising internet advertising, online database search, internal databases and some headhunting) within several market-places - HR, IT, Sales, Life Sciences & Clinical Research, where consultants tend to work up to 5 assignments at any one time. They have a thorough training and development programme, where the amount dedicated to this area of the business has recently tripled! There is a realistic and comprehensive career path to follow, so consistent results and the right attitude can assure you of progress and it isn’t a matter of waiting until someone else switches positions so you can move into their previous role! They have a superb commission structure, where consultants have been known to take home up to £12k in commission alone - the commission structure is stepped, upcapped and goes up to 35% of billings. The role
You will be working in a great team within one of the above named sectors and working on a number of assignments. There isn’t great emphasis on cold calling and instead the company handles new business in a slightly different way, coupled with an abundance of repeat business. As mentioned, there is a wonderful career path to follow and you’ll be encouraged to progress as quickly as you can through the levels once you attain the necessary qualifications for progression.
The candidate
From no recruitment experience, but solid and successful sales experience to someone who has up to 10 years in recruitment - all will be considered. What is important is the ability to stay in a company for a decent period of time and consistently do well. If you do have recruitment experience it is preferred that you have worked on perms, have some search experience already and have dealt with high net worth candidates. You are well educated - at least to A Level standard (or else have exceptional abilities outside of education). You can build rapport with people easily and quickly which manifest into lasting relationships. You are articulate, outgoing and a good listener.
